Review: Skinfood Papaya Yogurt Wash Off Mask

Skinfood Papaya Yogurt Wash Off Mask

Hello beautiful ladies!

I am back with a review on the Skinfood Papaya Yogurt Wash off mask. For those who are a little clueless about this product, this is basically a mask you apply after you cleanse your face, then leave for 10-15 minutes. This brand is called Skinfood which is a popular Korean skincare/cosmetic brand.

I bought this wash off mask from a site called asianfashioncity.com. This site was where I first purchased my Korean beauty cosmetic/skincare products about a year ago.Comment down below if you want a review on this site.

Anyways, let's start with the review!

Price:

$14 at asianfashioncity.com with FREE shipping for purchases over $90 or Pay $5 shipping cost

What it claims:

"Skinfood Papaya Yogurt Mask is an imperative part of the skin care repertoire of people with dry and sensitive skin type."

"Using this product can improve your skin clarity and help you achieve a luminous and brighter skin. This wash off type of facial mask is top rated due to its efficacy in making the skin younger looking and feeling fresh. It gently exfoliates, nourishes and soothes sensitive skin. It has a mild papaya fruit scent, a creamy texture and tiny beads which make massaging this product onto your face a pleasant experience."

Packaging:

The product is contained in a sturdy plastic container. As you can see on the container, there is a label that has Korean description written on it, which I cannot read since I am not Korean. (I wish I can though!) XD Although, the 'how to use it' description and the list of ingredients is in English, which is a plus for me! :D The container also has a plastic stopper (is that what you call it?) for hygienic purposes once you open it.

When you open the container, the mask comes in a 100ml liquid-yogurt like texture with green beads. Wow! That was a mouthful!

Anyways, when you spread the mask unto your face, it is very smooth yet provides a gentle exfoliation. The green mini beads gently exfoliates your skin for a few seconds, which then dissolves as you rub it unto your skin.

Scent:

The scent is a very mild fruity-papaya scent. It smells sooooo yummy! I always feel tempted to lick it off my face!XD The scent is very friendly to those who are sensitive to scents.  As you can see, there is only a little bit left in the tub because I have eaten them all! *insert evil laugh here*

Used my brother's hand for the swatch! :))

My experience:

I have used this mask for a 7 months or so and I really like it!
For:
Nourishment     -Yes. This product is very moisturising. I have acne on my skin and usually face washes dry out my skin. This just adds moisture back into my skin, keeping it nice and moisturise.

Good for sensitive skin       - Yes. I have sensitive skin myself that is suffering from acne. I also have oily skin but this product does not overly moisturise my face making it more oilier but just adds back the moisture that was lost from the washes that I use.

Brightening        -I do experience a temporary brightening effect after I wash the mask off but it usually goes away when I wake up in the morning. I wouldn't trust this if you want a long term brightening effect.

What I don't like about it:
I don't really have anything that I don't like about this. It is worth the hype.

Who'd I repurchase this:

Yes but I want to try the other wash off mask by Skinfood.

Rate:        5 out of 5 ;D
